Challenge
This elderly NDIS couple had already been receiving regular home cleaning every fortnight before working with us. However, many detailed areas such as skirting boards, light switches, window sills and kitchen drawers had been overlooked for years.With only four hours available every fortnight, the challenge was to improve the overall standard of the home while continuing to maintain the areas they relied on every day.
Our Cleaning Planner Approach
We first focused on raising the overall cleaning standard before introducing a long-term Cleaning Planner. Once the essential areas were consistently maintained, we gradually worked through detailed tasks based on the client’s priorities, time available and budget.Because hygiene was especially important for this elderly couple, we started with the kitchen and completed two or three detailed areas during each visit. Over time, we progressively restored cupboards, drawers, the refrigerator, windows and many other overlooked areas throughout the home.
Results
After around nine months of fortnightly service, the home has reached a much higher and more consistent standard. Instead of repeating the same basic cleaning every visit, the available time is now used to both maintain the home and continuously improve it.The clients have not needed to increase their cleaning hours, yet more areas have been restored and maintained through careful long-term planning.

Challenge
This busy family of four lives in a single-storey home with four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a study. With two young children and the demands of everyday family life, they wanted more than a regular clean. They needed a practical way to keep their home consistently clean while gradually restoring the areas that had been overlooked over the years.
The refrigerator, kitchen cupboards, internal windows, exhaust fans and other detailed areas had slowly built up over time. Completing everything in one visit would have required a large deep clean and a much higher upfront cost, so the challenge was finding a long-term solution that worked within their regular fortnightly cleaning schedule.
Instead of treating every visit the same, we created a personalised Cleaning Plan based on how the family actually lived. After discussing their priorities, we started with the refrigerator because it was one of the most frequently used areas in the home and made an immediate difference to everyday life.
As each priority area was completed, we moved on to the next, including cupboards, drawers, windows, exhaust fans and carpet steam cleaning when needed. Rather than repeating the same checklist every visit, each appointment balanced essential maintenance with meaningful long-term improvements.

Challenge
This young family of three shares their home with two large dogs. They already had a regular cleaner, but still felt that their home was not being maintained to the standard they expected.
Homes with pets can require a different approach to regular cleaning. With two large dogs moving through the house every day, dust, hair and marks build up much faster — particularly on doors, skirting boards and other high-use areas. Even after these areas have been thoroughly cleaned, they may need attention again sooner than they would in a home without pets.
During our first visit, we also identified a number of areas that had built up over time. Light fittings and exhaust fans had accumulated dust and grease, bathroom areas had visible mould, and doors and skirting boards needed detailed cleaning. Behind curtains and around the windows, there were also heavy, long-standing cobwebs, while the four large glass doors facing the outdoor area needed attention both inside and outside.
The challenge was therefore not simply to work through a list of neglected areas once. We needed to balance three things within each regular visit: completing the family’s essential cleaning, maintaining areas that quickly become dirty again, and continuing to make progress on areas that had been overlooked over time.
Rather than trying to restore everything in one large clean, we created a practical Cleaning Plan that could adapt to how the family actually lives.
Our Cleaning Planner Approach
During the first visits, we focused on detailed cleaning of the light fittings, exhaust fans, doors and skirting boards. We then moved on to removing the heavy cobweb build-up around the home and gradually added two to three windows or glass-door sections to each visit.
Because this is a home with two large dogs, the plan remains flexible. If previously cleaned areas such as doors or skirting boards need attention again, we return to them before continuing with the next planned task.
This allows us to maintain the areas the family uses every day while steadily improving the home within their regular cleaning schedule.
Results
We then began working through the windows and glass doors, completing around two to three sections during each visit. By approximately the sixth visit, all safely accessible windows had been cleaned inside and outside, together with the four large sliding glass doors facing the outdoor area. The difference was particularly noticeable around the main living spaces, where the cleaner glass and windows changed the overall appearance of the home.
Throughout this process, the family’s essential regular cleaning continued at every visit. With two large dogs in the home, areas such as doors and skirting boards naturally collect dust, hair and marks more quickly, so previously improved areas are revisited whenever needed.
As the larger visible areas improved, we moved on to the next priorities, including cleaning and organising the cupboard beneath the kitchen sink and cleaning inside the refrigerator. Selected wall cleaning is planned as one of the next focus areas.
The home is still improving. Rather than repeating the same cleaning checklist every visit, the Cleaning Plan continues to adapt — maintaining what needs attention now while gradually working through the next priority.
